Introduction
At ClearPathStudio, we recognize that plans may shift, and our goal is to maintain transparent and just refund protocols. This document presents the guidelines under which refunds are granted for our yacht charter services.
We ask that you carefully review this policy prior to confirming your reservation. By booking with ClearPathStudio, you accept and conform to these terms for refunds.
Standard Cancellation and Refund Timetable
Over 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Total refund minus service fees
Refund Timing: 5-7 working days
Service Charge: €50 for transactions via credit card
Prerequisites: Must be requested in written format through email or telephone communication
Between 24 to 72 Hours Prior to Charter
Qualified for: Half of the overall cost for the charter
Refund Timing: 7-10 working days
Service Charge: €25 subtracted from the refund
Prerequisites: A legitimate reason is necessary; subject to administrative expenses
Less Than 24 Hours Before Charter
Qualified for: No possibility for a refund
Exception: Emergency situations might be taken into account
Option: Credit for future charters may be offered at the discretion of the management
Prerequisites: Emergency claims must include supporting documentation
Weather-Related Cancellations
Our Commitment to Safety
Your safety is our utmost concern. If unsafe weather conditions are declared unsuitable for charter operations by our licensed skipper, we will offer you various options:
- Full Refund: Issued in full if rearranging the schedule is not viable
- Reschedule: You may move your charter to an alternate date with no extra costs
- Charter Credit: We provide a credit that's valid one year from the original booking date
Evaluating Weather Conditions
We analyse weather conditions as follows:
- Evaluating the wind's speed and direction
- Surveying the sea's conditions and wave heights
- Forecasting visibility and rain projections
- Heeding Coast Guard warnings and advisories
- Assessing safety with the help of our professional skipper's evaluation
Timing for Decisions: All decisions regarding weather cancellations will be decided no more than 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Emergency Medical Refunds
Emergency Scenarios
We are aware that medical emergencies can transpire unexpectedly. The scenarios below may be eligible for special accommodation:
- Unanticipated illness or injury necessitating hospital care
- A death amongst immediate kin
- Urgent military deployment or summoning
- Summoning for jury duty or legal subpoena
- Travel obstacles due to natural disasters
Mandatory Documentation
To process any emergency refund requests, please provide the following:
- Documentation from a medical facility or a medical certificate
- Death certificate, if applicable
- Verified military directives
- Notice for jury duty or a subpoena from a court
- Emergency declarations or travel advisories
Processing of Refunds: Any refunds due to emergencies will be processed within 3-5 business days after we receive all the relevant documents.
Cancellations Due to Operational Factors
Technical Issues
Should mechanical difficulties arise with the vessel assigned to you that cannot be promptly fixed:
- Replacement Vessel: We will make an effort to offer a comparable substitute
- Full Refund: Granted when an appropriate substitute is unavailable
- Partial Refund: Issued if the replacement boat has different fees
- Compensation: We may present further compensation for the disturbance
Crew Unavailability
In the uncommon event of crew members being absent:
- We will endeavor to arrange an alternative crew when possible
- A complete refund will be provided if we are unable to proceed with the charter
- Rescheduling is permitted at no additional cost
Processing of Refunds
Form of Payment
We carry out refunds utilizing the original payment method that was employed for the booking:
- Credit Cards: 5-7 working days
- Bank Transfers: 7-10 working days
- Cash/Cheques: 3-5 working days
Service Charges
Credit Card Transactions
€50 charge for cancellations submitted over 72 hours in advance
Refunds via Bank Transfer
€25 charge for all refund transactions via bank transfer
International Transactions
Possible additional charges may apply for international payments
Issuance of Charter Credits
Conditions for Credit Issuance
Credits for future charters might be given instead of refunds under certain conditions:
- Late cancellations (under 24 hours' notice)
- Cancellations linked to weather conditions
- Voluntary requests to reschedule
- Unforeseen operational complications
Credit Stipulations
- Duration: Credits are valid for one year following the date they are issued
- Transferability: Credits cannot be transferred to others
- Monetary Worth: Equivalent to the entire value of the charter without any service charges
- Usage: Applicable towards any charter that's open for booking
- Expiration: Credits must be used within 12 months, without any possibility of extension
Refunds for Partial Services
Disruptions During Service
If your charter experience is disrupted or abbreviated due to circumstances we are responsible for:
- A proportional refund based on the duration not utilized
- Credit for an upcoming charter that equals the same value
- Gratuitous services or enhancements may be offered
Interruptions Caused by Customers
If an ongoing charter is terminated earlier due to the behavior of a guest or infringement of safety protocols:
- No refund will be given for the part of the service not used
- The outstanding balance must still be paid in full
- Additional costs could be incurred
Resolution of Disputes
Should you have concerns with a decision about a refund, you may opt to:
- Ask for a reconsideration by our executive staff
- Hand in further evidence or documents
- Look for a resolution via consumer advocacy bodies
- Pursue any legal alternatives as prescribed by the relevant laws

Your refund request should comprise the following particulars:
- The number validating your booking
- The scheduled date and time of your charter
- The reasoning behind the cancellation
- Relevant supporting files (if applicable)
- Your preference for the refund method
Step 3: Assessment and Refund Process
Our team will confirm receipt of your petition within a day, evaluate it based on this policy, reach a conclusion within two days, and more importantly, process any sanctioned refunds as per the schedules indicated earlier.
Vital Information
- All applications for reimbursements must be documented in written form
- Refunds are handled in €, no matter what the currency of the initial payment was
- We highly advise purchasing travel insurance
- This directive is subject to amendments, which will be communicated with a 30-day notice
- Reimbursements are governed by the applicable levies and regulatory requisites
